@KarinaaaVy 9 out of 10 acts that make it onto this show have progressed far enough in their carear that they consider themselves beyond mere amateur status. There are exceptions. But i mean, how could a magician, for instance, even come close to getting on the show if s/he had not put on tons of public performances. If a singer has a cd, it simply means s/he paid someone to put their songs on a cd. Every pan handler on hollywood blvd can say that, and they are most certainly amateurs.
Sharon’s comment is right on….she has a beautiful tone to her voice. What a cute couple ! It would’ve been nice to hear the whole song.

@jojobee55 Exactly, not every musical act is just some people off of the street. Some musical acts, even though they have albums, go on that show to hopefully get noticed by a big name label and try to go mainstream.

@hibonjourhola They are not cheating. I know they have released albums, but so have other musical acts on the show. And they have never been signed to a label. So they are just an independent band. I’ve been a fan for a loooong time – even before they were The Strange Familiar & they deserve a shot!! Go Kira & Jeff!!
@hibonjourhola yeah, that’s what i thought! ’cause isn’t this show supposed to be for amateurs?? the strange familiar has already released more than one album; it’s totally unfair for the others.
They have my vote! Her voice is so much different and beautiful compared to other female singers. They are an adorable couple too! Good Luck you two, I hope you make it to the end!

The Strange Familiar is definitely already famous. Their song “Courage Is” is on abc all the time as advertisement for The Secret Life of the American Teenager. Yes, they are good, I even bought their song on itunes a long time ago. However, this is totally cheating and they should be disqualified.
