really, this guy’s a tommy’s copy … and i’m not saying this as a good thing, it’s bad actualy, he’s got to stop being a copy cat and start doing his own stuff…. cause even the songs are from his repertoire.
He doesn’t palm mute the fast parts because he can’t do it well enough. There’s a difference between a bad palm muted note and a good palm muted note. Most of his are good. And if my ears serve me right, this is how the song is meant to be.

@lyndsayiu5 I don’t agree with you. Compare him to Toni Emmanuel, it looks like that guy is copying his style. However Smokin’ Joe isn’t as experienced as him but if you looked at Tony you’d probably see the reason for every muting, Smokin’ Joe’s beats doesn’t sound so clear and maybe it can be found as a hiding of lack of speed but in my opinion it isn’t.
@TheSlithy That’s not a percussive effect at all. The guys still good but you never play fast runs with palm muting. If it’s all palm muted then it’s not a percussive effect. If he only muted every beat for example that’d be a proper effect.
