Although I didn’t recognize any of the characters other than Simon, it was very terrific.. His imitation of Simon was hilarious. Even Simon cracked up and felt somewhat uncomfortable, which in of itself was quite entertaining.

@cybercook14 I don’t know, cyber. I hope that he is making a career of his great impressions. Talent scouts and agents should watch BGT every season, because many, many of the acts that don’t win — including many that don’t even make the semi-finals — are world class. And Mike Garbutt is sure one of them!

Sorry, I don’t get it. The only voice I even recognized was Simon, and he must be one of the easiest people to do an impression of in the world.

@Calamari5 I must disagree; Paul is fun, but too frenetic and not nearly as witty as Mike. Paul exaggerates too much; Mike has found just the right degree of caricature. In any case, I like them both, and have always enjoyed comedy impressionists. My favourite old-timers are Rich Little and John Biner (“Byner”?).

he is amazing, his observation of people is perfect & manages to create a hilarious sketch. i loved the simon cowell impression the best

Mike is probably the greatest impressionist alive. His material and timing are absolutely perfect, and the impressions themselves are hilariously accurate — and just slightly exaggerated for the maximum humourous effect.
The man is a genius at what he does. I hope that his career is going well, and I would love to see him do a tour of North America. We could use the laughs here.
