in my opinion, the girl poured some water on the man on the right, and as it should be hot water kirk played “hot water on skin”.
The reason they ran into the doors so often is because the way they had the automatic doors was these two stagehands would stand on the other side and open them. Sometimes they got distracted and forgot to open the doors.

@leandar When the girl was pouring for the second man, she accidentally had the pot (which had just been sitting on the fire) up against Shatner’s upper arm.
@sedativechunk no i think thats the episode were they are turning old becaouse of a planet they visit
Does anyone know what happens around 2:35 to make Shatner yell out and everyone else to laugh? Did he pour some of that hot water on himself or did the girl get him or what? I have never understood that one.

@gracenotes555 “No one liked it”, yet it created a massive fan base that lives to this day, inspired millions (actors, scientists, etc.) Spawned countless star trek series and movies. Influenced practically every sci-fi show since, and even had a Space Shuttle named after it…. and yet no one liked it….ok, you’re a moron, next…

@gracenotes555 You can’t say “no one liked it.” The network tried to cancel it after first and after 2nd season and fans rose such a big ruckus both times that they kept it going. Then they dropped the budget (which was already really low) even more. Star Trek has been well liked since it first aired. Becuase of the stories and the philosophical issues.
