German cabaret artist / pianist Bodo Wartke wrote a piece called “Liebeslied” (love song) which is part of his current show. In this song every verse consists of the same words translated to many different languages. He sings three to five different verses each time. Over the time he collected over 60 different languages including various German and Swiss German dialects. I created this video with a selection of the many verses he wrote. I am not Bodo Wartke nor do I know him personally. Please visit his website or check out his other videos here on Youtube for further information. On his website there is also a “love song generator” where you can listen to all verses in different languages he has collected so far.
